Brett Davidson has an MA in journalism and media studies from Rhodes University. He worked for a number of years at the SABC, including 2 years as presenter of the current affairs programme, PM Live on SAfm, and 2 years as a producer on the same programme in a co-production with the BBC World Service. He also spent 8 years as a senior manager at Idasa, working mainly with the community radio sector in South Africa. Brett is an experienced trainer and materials developer, and also writes and edits. Recent articles of his have been published in Delivery Magazine (focused on local government), and Mobility magazine, a new publication focusing on transport issues.
Following stints in banking and retail, Piko Sipamla worked in the mainstream PR industry for over 3 years, as an account executive. Most of this time was spent working on the account of a major whisky brand. His projects included a major initiative to honour SA’s jazz greats, and a series of sponsored radio programmes on two regional stations.
